More than the turn-out, what really touched us was the sense of community and humanity that was shared during the event. It was a day where scientists, patients, families and volunteers were simply people working towards a common cause. It was a day where pain and empathy was felt. But most notably it was a day in the greatest expression of Hope, Pride and Happiness to be making a difference in each other’s lives.
